Francesco Bagnaia will be determined to redeem himself by winning the Japanese MotoGP after finishing second in last year's event.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider had a decent outing at the Indonesian MotoGP on 29 September, the most recent event on the 2024 MotoGP calendar.
Bagnaia finished third in the race and he also won the sprint event which saw him collect a total of 28 points from the race staged at the Central Lombok.
MotoGP title ambitions
The former Team Italia FMI rider is still placed second in the 2024 MotoGP Riders' standings having collected 345 points from 15 races.
Bagnaia is now 21 points behind the leader Jorge Martin of Ducati Prima Pramac Racing as the duo battle it out for the MotoGP world championship.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2024 Japanese MotoGP
The 2018 Moto2 World Champion came close to winning last year's Japanese MotoGP as he finished second behind Martin.
Boasting seven victories in the current season, Bagnaia will be keen to go one step further and secure a win at this weekend's race.
What did he say?
“Overall it was a positive weekend as we took back some points in the standings," Bagnaia said after the 2024 Indonesia MotoGP.
"I didn’t have the best of starts as the rear was spinning and the front-end lifted up; I wasn’t too quick on lap one and it cost me a couple of positions. I struggled a bit riding-wise behind (Marco) Bezzecchi: it took me several laps to overtake the latter.
"While it was easier with Franco (Morbidelli) due to the fact that we have the same technical package, so I could predict his moves a bit better. It was a difficult weekend but I’m happy anyway, as we managed to finish on the podium.”
